Keep an Eye Out for “LIKE-NEW”: MAN-THINGS, FOR LESS £

At Man Things, we sell practical gear that works hard and lasts. Some of our products are available as “NEW” or “LIKE-NEW”, and it’s worth knowing what that means.

What “LIKE-NEW” Means

“LIKE-NEW” doesn’t mean second-rate. It means a product has been checked, cleaned, and repackaged so it works just like new — often for less cash. Here’s how a product might become LIKE-NEW:

1. Product Returns

Sometimes a product comes back to us for all sorts of reasons: wrong colour, wrong size, changed mind, or maybe it was tried once and sent back. If the product itself is undamaged, we give it a new lease of life.

  • Boxes missing or damaged? If the product is safe, it might go in a plain or replacement box.

  • Missing or incorrect parts? Fixed, replaced, and repackaged. Still LIKE-NEW, still the same quality.

2. Minor Manufacturing Hiccups

Occasionally a batch has a tiny issue — the wrong screws, a missing part, or something similar. We sort it, check it, and repack it. You get a product that works perfectly, at a better price.

3. Overstocks or Display Models

Some products were just used as display models or didn’t sell the first time around. Still LIKE-NEW, still ready to go.

Why “LIKE-NEW” Makes Sense

Better value – same product, same quality, often cheaper than buying brand new.
Environmentally friendly – every product reused is one less item in landfill.
Practical – inspected, cleaned, and ready to use straight away.

How to Spot “LIKE-NEW”

On products that have it, you’ll see a “NEW” or “LIKE-NEW” option in the listing. Keep an eye out — it’s an easy way to save some cash without losing quality, and you’ll be doing your bit for the planet at the same time.

Gear that works as hard as you do, without costing the earth. That’s the kind of no-nonsense thinking we like at ManThings.
